QuickTime 7.1.5 May Cause Problems with ArchiCAD 10

A recent upgrade of QuickTime (7.1.5) causes ArchiCAD to crash in various circumstances on Mac OS X 10.3. We strongly recommend not to install this QuickTime update. Once installed, it can not be down-graded or removed. The only known solution to remove QuickTime 7.1.5 is a complete system reinstall.

Mac OS X 10.4 is not affected by the problem. ArchiCAD 9 and earlier versions are also not affected. We have reported the problem to Apple. Updates on this topic (possible solution to uninstall QuickTime) will be posted on ArchicadWiki.
