Background
virtual NORTH was established in Edmonton in December 1992 as a consultancy dedicated to advancing the use of 3D tools in architecture. Very few tools existed at the time and information about them was even more scarce. The uncovering of information prompted by a desire to share my discoveries resulted in the creation of a small business that survived on contracted production jobs and the foreward thinking of a number of clients who stopped to ask the question: is there a better way to "draw" a building?
Since the early 90s we have all come to take the computer for granted as just another appliance. The internet has forever altered the way we learn and communicate ideas. Paradoxically we use more paper than ever before in our history.

Aaron Bourgoin received formal training as an architect after a practical introdcution to the discipline that started in the print room of a large architectural firm. He has worked in architectural practises - large and small - enaged in new construction and renovation, commercial, developer-driven projects as well as publically funded workplaces, schools and spaces for public gathering.
Our client base, grown over a ten year period , constitutes a broad cross-section of participants in the construction economy and each have contributed to the wealth of knowedege that the firm possesses about each and every aspect of the design ad construction industry.
We are no longer concentrated on the design disciplines as the sole source of our work. The emphasis has shifted to the integration of all the contributors to projects in the built environment.
