A new Hotfix is available for ArchiCAD version 12 - it's Build 2523.It includes new drivers for Canon HPGL plotters.Retrieve it from the "Check for Updates" item on the "Help" Menu.And don't forget to read the release notes before you install this patch. If you want your "Goodies" to be updated as well, make sure they're moved to the add-ons folder before you apply this patch.

Is there a flavour of BIM reserved for post-occupancy applications? Is it really BIM or just another way to get 2D data into a dedicated FM system? Is that BIM? The folks at Cadimage have been doing devilishly clever things with GDL since the mid 90s. There seems to be signs out there that a vitual building based facilities management platform is about to arrive in North America. ArchiFM is still in circulation in Europe. VintoCON appear to be readying a version of their product for use in Canada and the US.If true, an ArchiCAD engine would be driving the only BIM based app for FM. -- Post From My iPhone

A recent upgrade of QuickTime (7.1.5) causes ArchiCAD to crash in various circumstances on Mac OS X 10.3. We strongly recommend not to install this QuickTime update. Once installed, it can not be down-graded or removed. The only known solution to remove QuickTime 7.1.5 is a complete system reinstall. Mac OS X 10.4 is not affected by the problem.
